Hey everyone! We’ve been telling you about our first event for the newly-revitalized Hoosier EVA, and just a reminder of the details:
- WHAT: National Drive Electric Month at Community Farmer’s Market
- WHEN: Saturday October 10 – 9:00 am to 12:30 pm
- WHERE: Showers Common – 401 N Morton Street, Bloomington
- WHY: To show talk about EVs – and show them off a little!
If you’re planning to come – or even think you might, PLEASE register at the official NDEM website. Include the vehicle you would bring if you come.

Here’s the sneaky part: Since we don’t have an official space to park electric vehicles, we’re going to get there early, and grab a free parking lot right next to the market!
Here’s the link to the exact location:

This lot is free to park, and is not needed by nearby Ragstock until after noon. If you’re planning to come, please arrive no later than 8:00 am to snag a spot in this lot. I know we have plans for a VW ID.Buzz, my Niro EV, and a one or two others for sure The lot holds about 12 cars, so even if we get 6-8 vehicles, that would be great! If we have too many EVs that’s a happy problem! We can help point out other places to park.
Here’s the rules:
- It’s an EV showcase – meaning no ride and drives. Hoosier EVA does not have insurance to cover any accidents for ride and drives.
- Your only job is to be available to talk about your car, your EV driving experience, and just BE FRIENDLY – which is the normal for Indiana, at least for me!
- You don’t have to stay the entire time – just be available, help others as much as you can. We appreciate your participation!
The booth will be inside the Farmer’s Market, at the space just north of the parking lot. We will be available to help should any issues arise.
And please SPREAD THE WORD! Repost the link to the NDEM site on your social media, share it with friends, let the world know! A big showing will help boost our presence and increase our opportunities for more events.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to message us directly.
